About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Electrical Project Engineer Sustaining Product Development (SPD) to support the design, development, validation, and implementation of advanced electrical and electronic systems for Rehlko industrial generator platforms. This role is ideal for a candidate with strong experience in analog and digital circuitry, microprocessor-based controls, and electrical system troubleshooting who thrives in a collaborative engineering environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in validating system performance, resolving complex electrical and software-related issues, supporting cross-functional product development efforts, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This Electrical Project Engineer Sustaining Product Development (SPD) position offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative power generation technologies while providing technical leadership, mentoring team members, and delivering high-quality engineering solutions that meet customer, regulatory, and performance requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Required (ABET Accredited)
  • 2+ years’ experience in electrical engineering, electronic systems and/or New product Development NPD or Sustaining Product Development (SPD) experience

Nice To Haves

  • General knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) Standards is a plus
  • Knowledge of any of the following a plus: MATLAB, PSPICE, Simulink, OrCAD, C, C++, Python

Responsibilities

  • Lead or support implementation of electrical components or electronic systems on Rehlko generator platforms, including validation, testing, and postproduction support.
  • Develops and executes test specifications and test procedures to validate or verify component or system function.
  • Work with cross functional teams to implement electrical and controls systems.
  • Troubleshoot failures and work with suppliers to resolve issues.
  • Make recommendations for product improvements.
  • Develop and implement special electronics systems as needed for testing.
  • Evaluates electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research programs, applying knowledge of electricity and materials.
  • Participate in design reviews and design FMEA’s.
  • Assist with vendor investigation of root cause analysis for failed components.
  • Contribute to lessons learned methodology and continuous process improvement.
  • Provides technical guidance and design direction to CAD Analysts.
  • Demonstrates teamwork and communicates effectively.
  • Develops documents and achieves product specifications for customers, regulatory, and technical requirements
  • Delivery of project work to time cost and quality.
  • Work to develop individual goals/objectives to support the department goals.
  • Personally demonstrate and drive the Rehlko Core Competencies.
