About The Position

The Enterprise Switching Product Operations team within Cisco’s Supply Chain Organization is seeking an Electrical Product Engineer to support Catalyst switching platforms throughout the product lifecycle. In this role, you will partner with Electrical Design Engineering, Compliance Engineering, Supply Chain Operations, and Contract Manufacturing teams to drive successful product introductions, improve operational performance, and deliver scalable, high-quality hardware solutions for Cisco’s global customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing operations and product lifecycle execution within a hardware environment.
  • Strong knowledge of DfX principles, including manufacturability, assembly, test, quality, reliability, and serviceability.
  • Hands-on experience with PCB and PCBA manufacturing processes and technologies.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and systems used in networking hardware production environments.
  • Knowledge of electrical commodities and components used in Cisco hardware products.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and influencing skills within highly cross-functional environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) activities to optimize cost, quality, manufacturability, and supply chain readiness.
  • Partner cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, compliance, and supply chain teams from product concept through end of life.
  • Drive DfX initiatives, including design for manufacturability, assembly, test, quality, reliability, and serviceability.
  • Support sustaining engineering efforts focused on lifecycle optimization, value engineering, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with contract manufacturers and global operations teams to improve production scalability, operational efficiency, and delivery performance.
