The Department of Environmental Services (DES) is seeking a highly motivated, team-oriented, and technically competent Electrical Power Technician (EPT) for their state-of-the-art Wastewater Treatment Plant. This is a 24/7 facility that treats 24 million gallons of wastewater daily. The EPT series is a two-tier, multi-grade pay program designed for various skill levels, from trainee to advanced technical trades. Responsibilities include the design, installation, maintenance, and repair of complex industrial electrical equipment, systems, and instrumentation within the Water Pollution Control Plant (WPCP) and Water and Sewer Lift Stations. The industrial equipment includes medium voltage distribution centers, motor control centers, motors, control panels, alarms, pumps, generators, presses, conveyor belts, lighting systems, and underground cable.
