About The Position

The Electrical Planner's primary purpose is to plan and schedule all maintenance activities for the Electrical and Instrumentation Department. This includes the development of detailed job plans, facilitating compliance with OEM specifications, identifying best practices, and complying with safety and environmental policies. The role involves developing daily, weekly, and monthly schedules, as well as detailed plans for overhauls and projects. The planner is responsible for developing spare parts requirements, creating APLs for standard jobs, and using software such as SAP and MS Office products for daily activities. A key aspect of the role is maintaining detailed equipment records and managing a program of continual improvement. The planner also establishes repair priorities, prepares scheduled maintenance programs, and coordinates equipment purchases, deliveries, and production requirements. Additionally, they furnish detailed documentation for planned work to be completed by outside contractors, establish weekly preventative maintenance schedules, report on PM compliance, and review maintenance backlogs and repair requests. Accuracy of equipment and component records in SAP is crucial, and the planner is responsible for executing, supporting, and enforcing the Company's Environmental, Health, and Safety program.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED with four years prior experience.
  • Must have good written, verbal and listening communication skills.
  • Knowledge of basic computer functions in MS Office, and SAP.
  • Sound understanding of MSHA, safety, and environmental regulations as they relate to work area.

Responsibilities

  • Furnishes detailed documentation for planned work to be completed by outside contractors.
  • Establishes weekly preventative maintenance schedules & reports weekly compliance of PM's.
  • Establishes priorities and reviews maintenance backlogs and repair requests.
  • Reviews the work order backlog, and operation's plans to establish work priorities.
  • Checks the accuracy of the equipment and component records in SAP.
  • Responsible for executing, supporting, and enforcing the Company's Environmental, Health and Safety program as required by OIS policy, directives, and principles.
