About The Position

The Electrical Packaging Team Member will be responsible for ensuring products conform to engineering or sales specifications. This involves using various shop materials, methods, and equipment, including sanders, drills, and air/electric hand cutting tools. The role includes performing material fit-ups and layouts with steel, positioning and securing workpieces, inspecting products for defects, and performing sanding/grinding. Additionally, the position involves breaking out steel, assembling steel panels with bolt-together construction, and material handling, including forklift operation.

Requirements

• HS Diploma or equivalent, required
• Heavy equipment experience required
• Able to use power tools
• Able to read tape measure
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Able to read blueprints
• Able to troubleshoot and problem solve
• Must be highly motivated
• Able to communicate and work well with others
• Read, write and speak English fluently

Nice To Haves

• Shipping experience, preferred

Responsibilities

• Measure, compare and make simple or complex shop calculations necessary to ensure products are in conformance with engineering or sales specifications using materials, methods and equipment in the shop (included but not limited to sanders, drills, air, and electric hand cutting tools)
• Material fit ups and layouts with steel
• Position and secure workpieces using hand tools, forklifts, etc.
• Inspect products/equipment for defects/malfunctions
• Sanding/grinding
• Breaking out steel
