As an Electrical Test & Commissioning Technician, you will work hands-on with advanced light rail vehicles, locomotives, and passenger coaches manufactured in Sacramento, California. You will test, troubleshoot, repair, and commission critical electrical systems—helping ensure every vehicle meets rigorous standards for safety, quality, reliability, and performance. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience with electrical testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, or related technical work.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with electrical test equipment, harnessing, connector assembly, and repair practices.
  • Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without needing current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical point-to-point wire verification and functional testing on light rail vehicles, locomotives, and passenger coaches.
  • Diagnoses, troubleshoot, document, and repair electrical and mechanical issues using advanced diagnostic equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, wire lists, assembly instructions, and technical documentation.
  • Support vehicle commissioning and validation activities to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and commissioning teams to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.
