About The Position

The Electrical-Mechanical Technician is responsible for performing skilled work such as troubleshoot problems, installation, preventive maintenance and repair of electrical and electronic systems, wiring, fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment; and performs related work as required. Role Responsibilities Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with local standard operating procedures, FDA regulations, OSHA regulations and New York State regulations Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and machinery used on site Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues and ensure prompt resolution. Assist in the diagnosis of machine electronic controls, sensors, servers and drives Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations Document repair and maintenance activities and keep accurate records Participate in initiatives and programs to identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the site to include safety, downtime reduction or cast savings Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve processes and enhance equipment functionality

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Proficient in electrical and mechanical systems, understanding engineering drawings, and troubleshooting mechanical issues effectively
  • Must be able to work 12-hour day shifts (7:00am – 7:00pm) and every other weekend
  • Ability to carry out tasks that might require climbing ladders, lifting heavy objects, working outdoors, working at height or working in confined spaces

Nice To Haves

  • Automation skills with AC and Servo Drives and HMIs, PLCs.
