About The Position
Lyten is seeking a motivated Process Engineering Intern to join the EM Tech Support team this summer. This hands-on role offers exposure to industry-standard process development and real-world scale-up challenges at Lyten’s San Jose facility. The intern will work closely with the EM Tech Support team to support reactor builds and maintain reactor build inventory. Candidates should have a strong technical foundation, a data-driven mindset, and a proactive attitude, and be eager to learn in a dynamic R&D environment.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing an Associates or Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills
- Positive attitude and professional demeanor
Responsibilities
- Support EM technicians with 6S activities in the Osgood and Baytech labs
- Assist in documenting the SkyLyte build process
- Help label, organize, and maintain reactor build inventory
- Collect, analyze, and document experimental data; communicate findings clearly
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions and process improvements
