About The Position

Volt is hiring for an Electrical/Mechanical Assembler for a company in Poway Ca. As an Electrical/Mechanical Assembler, you will perform detailed electrical cable and harness assembly, including crimping, wiring, connecting, bundling, and finishing per drawings and specifications. You will also prepare and terminate wires with connectors or terminals and apply protective jackets. The role involves conducting functional testing, electrical ring out, and using test equipment to verify performance and safety. Additionally, you will perform surface mount soldering and related electrical assembly tasks, read and follow detailed blueprints, written instructions, and verbal guidance, and interpret ECNs, ECOs, and Temporary Deviations to support engineering updates. You will perform engineering changes, rework, and modifications as required, and conduct in-process and final inspections to ensure quality compliance. Following all established safety and quality standards and providing daily status updates to your supervisor or lead are also key responsibilities. This is a full-time, 6-8 month opportunity.

Requirements

  • High School degree or equivalent
  • Training or courses in E/M assembly, cable and wire harnesses
  • Soldering training or education
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in electrical and cable assembly
  • Proficient in soldering and crimping using hand tools
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical documentation
  • Proficient in utilizing computer for MS Office and ERP (Oracle preferred) and to update issues in tracking system (Jira)

Responsibilities

  • Complete harness and point to point wiring

  • Conduct in-process and final inspections to ensure quality compliance
  • Follow all established safety and quality standards
  • Provide daily status updates to supervisor or lead
