About The Position

BLADE (HDT) is seeking Mechanical Assemblers for 1st shift or weekend shift positions at our Cincinnati, OH facility. The primary function of this position is to be responsible and accountable for producing quality work to prescribed standards, with a focus on continuous improvement to meet customer commitments on schedule and within budget. The weekend shift hours are Friday – Sunday, 6:00 am to 6:30 pm, with shift differential. This position requires access to, or use of export-controlled technical data or technology controlled by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Accordingly, applicants must be U.S. Persons or must be eligible to obtain the required export authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or U.S. Department of Commerce. A U.S. Person is defined as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, or a person who is a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act (8 U.S.C. 1324(b)(a)(3).

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience with hand and power tools required
Must be able to lift and push up to 50 lbs, repetitive motion, with occasional lifting/pushing up to 75 lbs
Ability to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required per plant rules
Ability and willingness to work overtime when necessary, including weekends
Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, or protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act) or eligible to obtain required export authorizations.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of five years of manufacturing related experience preferred
Ability to read blueprints preferred

Responsibilities

Setting up and operating assigned machinery
Performing advanced-level assembly functions, which may include; prep, mechanical, spray application, and inspection, typically working from models and/or drawings, within Production
Installation of components to contract specifications, using a wide range of hand and power tools and equipment
Interpreting blueprints, Process Flow Instructions and other written or verbal instructions
Following both visual and written work instructions in order to complete assigned tasks within set time allotted
Adhering to all quality and safety standards
Supporting other projects and performing duties as assigned
