What You Will Do Candidate is required to install, service, maintain and modify a wide variety of intricate and highly complex industrial electronic and electrical equipment throughout the facility, ensuring the work performed meets functional quality standards and code requirements. Successful candidate must possess basic electronic training and be able to read and interpret schematics, drawings and blueprints. Develop, fabricate and document circuits or devices to facilitate monitoring equipment condition and detection or diagnosis of equipment faults. Successful candidate will utilize all proper safety devices and comply with all safety regulations, procedures and program requirements to ensure safe working conditions and to preserve a healthy environment. Install, service, maintain and repair a wide variety of complex industrial electronic and electrical systems and controls, support equipment and associated systems used throughout plant facilities. Answer trouble calls on complex electronic and electrical systems and equipment with various mechanical interfaces and where symptoms are generally indicative of the cause of the problem. Work from complicated drawings, schematic diagrams, rough sketches and service manuals to resolve problems associated with various machine controls such as electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic and electro-mechanical including electronically controlled machine tools, inspection equipment, test stands, test stand apparatus and other types of equipment which utilize analog, or digital logic, and solid state devices. Use test instruments such as voltmeters, recording instruments and various types of circuit analyzers to trouble shoot systems. Trace circuitry and check values at various points and check items such as connections, insulation, grounding and subassemblies for amperage, resistance, voltage and capacitance. Analyze findings and determine best method of making repairs, adjustments or changes. Devise temporary hookups, if necessary, and suggest electrical systems modifications or repairs during emergency situations. Check to ensure all systems, alarms, controls and safety devices are functioning properly before completing assignment. Notify supervisor when major repairs may be warranted and where difficulty is encountered in locating source of trouble.
