About The Position

This position is responsible for assisting in repairs and maintenance of machinery, equipment, physical structures, plumbing, and electrical systems throughout the entire plant. The role requires an Oregon State LME license or better. The job involves performing all duties of an Electrical Mechanic "B", executing the preventive maintenance program, troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic, and AC/DC electrical circuits, single-phase and three-phase power, and PLCs. The position also includes assisting in the training of other mechanics and maintaining a clean work area, tools, and equipment. This job description outlines principal duties but is not exhaustive.

Requirements

  • Oregon State LME license or better
  • Vocational/Technical certificate or A.S Degree; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Perform and follow all safety rules and regulations
  • Perform all duties of Electric Mechanic “B”
  • Performs size changes on all production lines
  • Executes the preventive maintenance program schedule to avert production and equipment failures and downtime
  • Performs troubleshooting on hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Troubleshoots AC/DC electrical circuits
  • Troubleshoots single phase and 3-phase power
  • Read and interpret hard wire schematics
  • Read and interpret hydraulic and pneumatic schematics
  • Troubleshoot PLC's
  • Assist in the training of the Electrical Mechanic in Training and B level Electric Mechanic
  • Maintain a work area, tools, and equipment
  • Perform all work safely and with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employees
  • Maintain their designated work spaces in a clean, safe and timely manner in compliance with the plants THM/Safety policy
