About The Position

Arista Networks is seeking a highly experienced Electrical Manufacturing New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer to lead manufacturing readiness and product transfer for complex data center networking equipment, including high-speed switches, routers, and optical transport gear. The role bridges Design, NPI, and full-scale production, supporting smooth product lifecycle transitions through cross-functional collaboration, manufacturing process development, DFX reviews, lifecycle management, and sustaining engineering. The engineer will partner with the HW/Mech/Thermal Engineering team on new product development and manufacturing readiness for high-performance network equipment. The role requires deep expertise in high-speed signal integrity and high-density electronics, along with leadership in bringing products from design concept to high-volume production.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
At least 5 years of progressive experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
At least 3 years dedicated to NPI and successful high-volume product launches in the data center networking equipment industry.
Expert-level knowledge of high-layer-count PCBA manufacturing, specialized BGA/FC-BGA soldering and rework, and process control for large-format electronic boards.
Proven experience designing and qualifying production functional test systems and managing test coverage for complex network systems.
Demonstrated expertise using advanced statistical and quality tools, including PFMEA, SPC, and DOE.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence technical and executive stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree.
Experience managing manufacturing processes at global contract manufacturers or ODMs specializing in complex networking or telecom equipment.
Hands-on experience manufacturing and testing systems with water cooling, liquid cooling, or immersive cooling solutions for network processors.
Experience with specialized signal-integrity test equipment and analysis techniques, such as TDR and VNA, and with optical power and high-speed data transmission.
Fluency in advanced data analysis tools such as JMP and Python for statistical analysis.

Responsibilities

Lead and own manufacturing readiness for complex next-generation data center networking products.
Plan production line layouts and capacity, and drive capital equipment procurement to support rapid production ramp-up.
Define and maintain the manufacturing technology roadmap, including processes and equipment for advanced ASIC/FPGA packaging, high-current components, and high-layer-count PCBs.
Lead DFX reviews, including DFM, DFA, and DFT, and influence product architecture to improve yield, quality, and cost efficiency.
Address DFX considerations for high-speed interconnects, optical modules, and sensitive RF paths.
Manage manufacturing and testing of complex thermal solutions, including water- and liquid-cooling systems.
Drive component selection and supplier process audits, focusing on high-reliability components and clocking/timing circuits.
Develop robust manufacturing processes and system-level functional test strategies, including traffic generation and analysis, line-rate testing, and high-temperature burn-in.
Oversee the lifecycle of automated test equipment development, ensuring accurate BER and signal-quality measurement and alignment with fleet deployment and system diagnostics.
Provide sustaining engineering guidance to resolve complex signal-integrity, optical-module, and system-performance issues after product launch.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new product development, manufacturing process development, product lifecycle activities, and sustaining support.
