About The Position

Join the team powering a modern steel transformation Help us advance safe, efficient, and sustainable steelmaking on our path to 2050 net‑zero. Your electrical mastery will keep critical assets running across the Mon Valley—your application will be considered for Clairton Works, Irvin Works, and Edgar Thomson Works. Role impact Maintain uptime by troubleshooting AC/DC power, control circuits, instrumentation, and PLC/automation systems. Install and service plant electrical equipment to sustain continuous operations in a heavy industrial environment. Partner with production to resolve issues quickly; step into operating support when needed. Work solo with limited supervision or alongside other maintenance pros. Navigate challenging environments (hot, cold, wet, greasy, dirty, noisy) using the right tools and plant equipment such as pendant/overhead cranes, mobile equipment, and forklifts.

Requirements

  • 1+ year in manufacturing/industrial maintenance or equivalent education (including military).
  • Relevant exposure in one or more of: industrial electronics; motors/controls; schematics and power distribution; print reading; computers and PLCs; electronics; AC/DC theory and power; test instruments/instrumentation; electrical maintenance; commercial construction/installation.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Rotating 8‑hour shifts (weekends/holidays included); overtime as business needs arise.
  • Strict safety mindset and PPE use: hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, protective clothing, metatarsal boots.
  • Consistent attendance, on-time performance, and self‑directed work style.
  • Ability to pass required assessment test(s).
