About The Position

American Window and Glass is seeking a dedicated, technically skilled, and highly motivated Electrical Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team in Evansville, IN.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience (mechanical, electrical, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, or robotics) related to equipment installation, maintenance, or troubleshooting.
  • Strong abilities in creating or modifying parts.
  • Experience in stick welding for repairs and modifications.
  • Solid experience as an industrial mechanic, particularly with motors, pumps, and conveyor systems.
  • Strong understanding of industrial maintenance practices and procedures.
  • This job requires a full range of hand motions including the ability to push, pull, squeeze, and grip.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
  • Ability to walk and stand on concrete for 8+ hr shifts
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, twist, and reach above head for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English including both verbal and written communication
  • As a condition of employment with American Window and Glass, Inc, you will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen as well as a criminal history background check.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting and repairing machinery.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve potential maintenance issues.
  • Fabricate and install parts as needed.
  • Execute stick welding for repairs and modifications.
  • Assist with industrial mechanic duties, such as repairing motors, pumps, and conveyor systems.
  • Carry out general maintenance tasks, including lubricating machinery and replacing filters.
  • Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Utilize mechanical knowledge to diagnose and resolve maintenance challenges.
  • Test and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment and systems.
  • Complete maintenance work orders and machine modifications promptly.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components.
  • Document work performed through written and electronic methods.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and welding.
  • Read and interpret blueprints.
