SUMMARY The Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician will support the commissioning of Ultrapure water (UPW) systems at construction sites and the maintenance service of the system after the commissioning phase. REPORTING RELATIONSHIP The Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician reports to the Maintenance & Commissioning Manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical construction or maintenance or supervising construction projects
  • Have the necessary work experience to apply for an Arizona ROA C11 license
  • Ability to understand and interpret the Electrical Codes, schematics, P&ID’s & Logic Drawings
  • Experience installing and mounting electronic controls, device panels, sensors, and components
  • Knowledge of NEC (National Electrical code) requirements
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures
  • Observe OSHA(Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations
  • Knowledge and skills regarding PLC (editing ability is essential)
  • Experience in large-scale commercial or industrial electrical projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Perform work at heights from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, cat walks, roofs, or other areas occasionally or as job requires
  • Able to positively identify colors of wires

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or technical apprenticeship preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field is a plus
  • Chinese proficiency is a plus
  • Knowledge of NETA (International Electrical Testing Association) requirements and standards is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Will design, construction management and commissioning of electrical equipment for water treatment system construction work on client site.
  • Will commission, troubleshoot, maintain, repair electrical systems on client site
  • Plan and execute electrical installations according to project specifications
  • Manages the progress of electrical work, troubleshoots and provides feedback to management on how to improve.
  • Attend weekly work group meetings, review and update the schedule with construction manager, review RFI’s, change orders
  • Study schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for completion of job
  • Review and interpret schematics, and other project documentation
  • Monitor project progress and perform quality inspections to inspect and test electrical systems and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustments or repairs
  • Supports manage material procurement and requisition needs
  • Ensure that installations are performed in accordance with master specifications, standard installation details, state and local codes
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations
  • Coordinates electrical power, space and pathway requirements with project’s architectural, electrical and structural drawings
  • Competently edit and author design electrical specifications
  • Supports management of electrical design documents
  • Collaborate with a diverse number of system owners, engineers, technicians, and traders
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints (all trades) and specifications for advanced work layout and planning
