About The Position

The Electrical Maintenance Technician will be responsible for disassembling, repairing, and reassembling production machines used at the plant.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of electrical and electronic systems.
  • Knowledge of programmable logic controls.
  • 2+ years vocational training or a minimum of 6 years’ experience in a related maintenance field.
  • Electrical Certification is REQUIRED!
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, blueprints, correspondence and memos.
  • Prior maintenance troubleshooting experience with production equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoots all manual and CNC equipment to identify problems and perform repairs.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used for accountability and future reference.
  • Performs mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic repair work on plant equipment and CNC’s.
  • Work with voltage of 240v-480v.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot motor controls on 3-phase equipment and control circuits.
  • Helps initiate equipment procedures when updates have been instigated.
  • Repairs equipment by removing defective parts, replacing with new or usable, test to see if repair was adequate.
  • Responsible for identifying parts needed for repair and getting quotes to purchase the parts.
  • Relocates machinery when needed.
  • Makes repairs to various units within the plant such as heating, cooling, test equipment.
