This position operates in a refrigerated production environment, with parts of the facility running as cold as 34–38°F and freezer areas dropping below freezing. Candidates must be comfortable working in cold conditions for extended periods. The role involves performing advanced troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on production equipment including conveyors, automated machinery, and packaging lines. Diagnosing and resolving complex mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic/hydraulic issues with minimal supervision is key. The technician will also lead or support major repairs, equipment overhauls, and planned shutdown work. Reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical schematics, working with PLCs to troubleshoot automated equipment faults, and mentoring junior technicians are also part of the responsibilities. All maintenance activity must be documented through the CMMS system, adhering to GMP, food safety, and safety protocols.
