About The Position

This position is in the Maintenance Department and reports directly to the IE & A Maintenance Manager. The Electrical Team Lead will supervise and assist the in-house and contractor I/E Technicians and interface with the appropriate manufacturing groups to ensure the highest level of safety, productivity, work quality and reliability for all maintenance and project related work at Arkema CLAK. The duties of this position are conducted with changing production requirements, equipment capabilities, maintenance workforce availability and capabilities, and adherence to maintenance work process and repair procedures. Must adhere to the Arkema Electrical Safe Work Practices Policy and Guidelines for the CLO site. Must be available to work extended hours, weekends, holidays and after hours. Perform elevated work on scaffolding and aerial lifts (JLG, scissor lifts). Supports the site HES policy and complies with all regulatory and internal requirements. Participates in HES activities provided by site management and Arkema Inc. Supports and promotes the reporting of all health, safety, environmental, near-miss, accident or injury incidents. Requirements

  • Minimum 8+ years field maintenance experience with high voltage distribution equipment.
  • High school diploma
  • Computer skills required.
  • Familiarization with NEC and NFPA 70E
  • Knowledgeable in all types of industrial instrumentation and process control loop systems.
  • Knowledgeable of field measurement instrumentation, including their application, design, communication protocols, wiring methods, calibration, and repair.
  • Knowledgeable on control valves, their application, and how to perform valve testing to ensure reliable performance to maintain safe and efficient production.
  • Knowledgeable in motor protection relays, maintenance on high voltage transformers, busses, and switches.
  • Knowledgeable on high voltage distribution equipment, over.
  • Demonstrated learning and development skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of breakers, high voltage isolation, transformers, and motors.
  • Skilled in interpreting electrical diagrams/schematics and loop drawings.
  • Skilled in electrical terminologies and maintenance processes.
  • Good written and oral communication skills to interface with operations and maintenance personnel.
  • Ability to follow maintenance procedures for equipment.
  • Ability to read, understand and utilize equipment drawings and P&ID's.
  • Works well in teams.
  • Responsible for following all AIMS HESQ policies & practices (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, and 50001)

Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily activities of the Electrical Technicians; ensure all maintenance duties and PMs are completed timely, accurately and in accordance with all defined policies and procedures. When prompted, take guidance from Instrument team lead to support the instrument maintenance on site.
  • Oversee and perform troubleshooting, repairs, calibration, and new installation tasks for electrical related work assigned according to daily/weekly maintenance schedule.
  • As a working team lead, perform the day-to-day duties and responsibilities of an instrument & electrical maintenance technician as necessary to ensure optimum staffing.
  • Ensure functional testing is completed on all equipment as needed. Perform pre-installation check ins on control valves. Support outside contractors to perform on site repairs and installations. Work to develop necessary test procedures for safety and process critical equipment.
  • Establish effective preventative and predictive monitoring and maintenance techniques to identify and define abnormal operating conditions. Shall maintain documentation for all failed calibrations and actions taken to correct issues.
  • Assist with development of electrical technicians, including training, progression plans, provides contractor oversight.
  • Ensure repair reports are properly documented and filed in the appropriate location.
  • Interface with the reliability department as necessary to support improvement items.
  • Attend meetings (safety, maintenance planning, reliability, contractor management, and production).
  • Provide weekly updates on jobs lasting more than one week.
  • Participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis and Incident Investigations.
  • Evaluate instrument problems when they arise and find effective solutions.
  • Attend monthly meetings with the operations and I/E groups to discuss job priority.
