About The Position

As part of a formal skilled trades training program, this role assists site Electrician skilled trades to learn and develop electrical skills in a manufacturing environment under direct guidance. The apprentice will be required to successfully complete and document specified classes and a minimum quantity of on the job training hours. Learns and understands the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Promote a strong safety culture by following HSE policies, using proper PPE, reporting hazards and incidents promptly, and encouraging teammates to work safely and look out for one another.
• Support reliable equipment performance by assisting with preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities that maximize equipment uptime and reduce operational disruptions.
• Contribute to product quality excellence by performing inspections, following process documentation, adhering to quality standards, and identifying issues before they impact production or customer satisfaction.
• Develop and apply electrical maintenance skills through required classroom training and hands-on experience, steadily building the competencies necessary to qualify as an Electrician.
• Improve manufacturing efficiency by identifying production constraints, troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting process improvements that enhance productivity and reduce waste.
• Strengthen continuous improvement efforts by actively participating in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives and providing valuable feedback to the Preventive Maintenance system.
• Reduce operational costs and quality risks by raising concerns early, supporting failure analysis investigations, and helping implement corrective actions that prevent recurring problems.
• Drive teamwork and operational success through effective communication with production, maintenance, and support teams while maintaining a clean, organized, and productive work environment.
