About The Position

The Electrical Maintenance Shift Lead (Night Shift) supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will be responsible for crew management, shift reporting, incident command, rapid notification of incidents, information dissemination, and performance oversight. They will also perform technical and maintenance duties including system maintenance, diagnostic troubleshooting, predictive analysis, facility rounds, work order management, and safety compliance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an electrician, with 2 or more years in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems preferred.
  • Must hold a valid license to practice; a State of Colorado Journeyman License is preferred, or the ability to transfer an out-of-state license.
  • Able to lift and move 50 lbs as well as able to push/pull up to 100 lbs.
  • Demonstrable ability to use power and hand tools (voltmeters, wire strippers, etc.) and answer verbal technical questions during the interview.
  • Must have an active DoW Secret Security Clearance.
  • Resumes, in month and year format, must be submitted with application in order to be considered for the position.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiar with Eaton Power Monitoring Systems and UPS Systems.
  • Experience utilizing the Maximo work order system for task management.
  • Knowledge of Siemens HVAC controls and Class A Honeywell Fire Alarm Systems (or NICET certification).
  • Specific expertise with 480/277-volt and 24-volt power systems.
  • Experience operating from a Maintenance or Service Truck.

Responsibilities

  • Take full responsibility for the actions, specialized training, and efficient usage of time for all crew members while on shift.
  • Provide daily updates to management regarding tasks, work order progress, and any shift incidents via email, Microsoft Teams, or Jabber.
  • Act as the primary point of contact during any performance-related anomalies or facility incidents.
  • Responsible for notifying management immediately of any incidents to ensure that DSF is notified within the mandatory 15-minute window.
  • Ensure all critical directives and mission updates passed down from management are effectively communicated to the entire shift.
  • Responsible for the overall performance of the shift and for formal reporting on the work quality and conduct of individual crew members.
  • Install, maintain, and repair complex electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings, including wiring, circuit breakers, and lighting fixtures.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical issues using appropriate testing devices, techniques, and the ability to interpret electrical drawings and blueprints.
  • Perform infrared scanning of circuitry panels and switchgear to identify overheating at connections or other potential system failures.
  • Conduct routine rounds to all mechanical and electrical rooms; operate and maintain the Eaton Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS).
  • Utilize the Maximo Windows-based work order system for tasking, documentation, and reporting.
  • Enforce a strict understanding of PPE and NFPA 70E Electrical Safety Practices across the entire team to ensure code compliance.
