About The Position

Origin Mining Company operates the Mineral Park copper-molybdenum mine in Arizona and is focused on responsible, sustainable resource development. We aim to lead the U.S. copper industry through strong safety practices, environmental stewardship, and operational excellence. Our team is committed to doing things the right way—acting with integrity, supporting our communities, and creating long-term value. With a hands-on, technically driven approach, we are advancing both leach and concentrator operations to produce high-quality copper and molybdenum products. This role will plan, coordinate, and direct site electrical maintenance activities to ensure mobile and fixed plant electrical systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. The planner will work closely with third-party contractors and act as the main contact for contract labour, including major electrical overhauls and shutdown work. The goal is to maximize equipment availability through effective preventive and predictive maintenance programs while maintaining adequate stock of electrical parts and materials. The role also supports investigations into electrical equipment failures, recommends corrective actions, and ensures all work complies with safety regulations, procedures, and policies.

Requirements

  • Electrical maintenance planning experience across fixed and mobile plant equipment
  • Certified Electrician (Red Seal or equivalent preferred) with heavy industrial/mining experience
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting, and predictive maintenance (motors, drives, PLCs, instrumentation)
  • Proficiency in CMMS (SAP, Pronto, Maximo) and MS Office
  • Understanding of safety, environmental, and electrical standards (including LOTO and MSHA)
  • Experience with procurement processes and materials management
  • Project management and Root Cause Failure Analysis skills
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities

  • Plan electrical maintenance activities 1–4 weeks ahead, including extended shutdowns
  • Schedule corrective backlog work and preventive/predictive electrical maintenance while minimizing production impact
  • Define job scope, including tasks, resources (labour, parts, tools, test equipment), timelines, and costs
  • Assign timing (“when”) and personnel (“who”) for upcoming electrical work
  • Ensure work can be completed safely with available resources and electrical isolation/LOTO readiness
  • Develop and manage maintenance plans and equipment data in SAP (task lists, BOMs, measuring points) for electrical assets
  • Optimize use of electricians, contractors, and materials
  • Maintain and improve job plans, electrical equipment hierarchy, and master data in SAP
  • Manage materials and procurement (quotes, requisitions, POs, delivery tracking) for electrical components
  • Oversee backlog by planning, executing, and closing electrical work orders
  • Update failure codes and support root cause analysis of electrical failures
