About The Position

The Electrical Technician will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems for both residential and commercial customers. This role requires technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and the ability to mentor apprentices.

Requirements

• Minimum three (3) years of previous electrical experience
• Completion of a formal apprenticeship
• High school diploma and/or any equivalent of education and experience to meet the essential functions of the job
• Valid driver’s license and remain insurable under our company insurance policy
• Strong time management skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service standards in stressful situations
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written
• Self-starter with excellent problem-solving, analytical skills and mechanical aptitude
• Ability to read blueprints
• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools
• Proficiency in the use of test meters and diagnostic equipment

Responsibilities

• Install electrical wiring, outlets, lighting fixtures, circuit-breaker panels, and other electrical systems.
• Service and repair malfunctioning electrical equipment, such as alarm systems and lighting systems, for residential and commercial properties.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of electrical systems during service calls.
• Apply experience and technical knowledge to identify and implement solutions to restore systems to full functionality.
• Adhere to all industry and company safety standards.
• Use appropriate safety equipment and implement safety procedures on all jobs.
• Compile and complete all necessary paperwork, including job reports, invoices, and documentation of services performed.
• Provide guidance and training to apprentices, supporting their growth and development in the trade.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as directed by leadership.
