About The Position

Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) is currently looking for a Mid-Level Electrical Lab Technical Designer supporting B-52 Bombers Lab Operations based out of Oklahoma City, OK. This position is considered 100% on site. The candidate will have to work at the listed location. The candidate will have to work at the listed location. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status. This position is not contingent upon program award.

Requirements

3 years of aircraft maintenance experience in a laboratory setting
Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 35 pounds frequently within an 8 hour shift.
Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

Active US Secret Clearance or higher
Experience with designing the fabrication of wire harness/cables.
Experience working with B-52 or similar aircraft

Responsibilities

Develops, maintains and releases drawings, systems designs or engineering documentation and data by applying company, industry and governmental standards.
Using design tools prepares documentation and incorporates design changes.
Creates, develops and maintains systems designs by preparing design layouts, modifying existing designs and assisting in identifying design discrepancies.
Supports engineering system design and functionality validation activities.
Develops and maintains product installation designs and part designs ranging from simple to moderately complex.
Coordinates activities and products with internal partners and external suppliers.
Works under general direction.
