About The Position

Our client was founded in 1999, they have crafted the company to be the contractor of choice for design / build & general construction services in the fields of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Low Voltage & Carpentry. The effective and successful Electrical Journeyperson is committed to diversifying their craft by continuing to increase their knowledge of the trade and improve their skillset and efficiencies. The Electrical Journeyperson is responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing various electrical components including wiring, panels, light fixtures, generators, solar arrays, etc.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and able to consistently follow written processes and procedures
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints
  • Ability to stand, lift, maneuver weights that may exceed 50lbs.
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Active CT Unlimited Electrical Journeyperson (E2) License
  • Active Driver’s License with reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

  • Excellent mathematical skills are preferred
  • Current OSHA 10 Certification is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform general labor and clean-up as requested, or as needed
  • Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, measuring devices, etc.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for repair to ensure compatibility and safety
  • Pull wire, place conduit, pipes or tubing, inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed or open areas
  • Perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches to lay conduit and moving and lifting large parcels, or electrical equipment.
  • Receive, properly store job site materials for effective job site coordination
