Requirements

• Industrial Electrical journeyperson or Electrical journeyperson certification
• Red Seal certification
• 3+ years of experience as an industrial electrician, electrician, or other relevant work
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose issues independently
• Computer literacy for maintenance documentation requirements
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations related to measurements, tolerances, and adjustments

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical repairs, maintenance, testing, and installation on industrial equipment and machinery
• Troubleshoot various electrical issues
• Maintain tools and equipment in a safe and serviceable condition
• Assist and support Industrial Mechanics as required
• Participate in planning and executing routine preventive maintenance activities according to established schedules
• Document all maintenance tasks, repairs, time required, and parts used on work orders
• Recommend improvements to reduce future breakdowns and increase equipment reliability
• Assist with the preparation and implementation of lockout/tagout procedures
• Source and procure parts as required
• Act as a point of contact for contractors and coordinate activities as needed
