About The Position

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Journeyman to join the fast-growing team. They will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems to support commercial HVAC and mechanical projects. This role ensures all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with electrical codes and company standards.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited electrical apprenticeship program is required.
  • Valid state-issued Electrical Journeyman license.
  • 4+ years of electrical experience, preferably in commercial or industrial settings.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, including lifting, climbing, and working in various environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to clearly explain technical information to team members, supervisors, and clients.
  • Reads and comprehends complex diagrams, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Strong math skills, including the ability to calculate load capacities, voltage drops, and conduit fill.
  • Capable of using formulas to determine system requirements and troubleshooting steps.
  • Highly developed problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Can independently assess situations, identify solutions, and make decisions under pressure.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities and adjusting to changing project needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with HVAC-related electrical systems a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems and equipment for commercial HVAC and mechanical projects.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings to determine project requirements.
  • Perform electrical wiring, conduit installation, panel work, and terminations in compliance with NEC and local codes.
  • Test electrical systems and components to ensure proper functionality and safety.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide timely, effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with foremen, project managers, and other trades to ensure project schedules and quality standards are met.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe and organized condition.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA requirements.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to apprentices and less experienced electricians.
  • Accurately document work performed and assist in maintaining project records.
