The Electrical Journeyman is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and residential settings. They must ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Additionally, they may be required to assist in troubleshooting electrical issues and implementing solutions. This role involves accomplishing electrical installation and maintenance objectives by performing tasks such as installing electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment according to local and national electrical codes. It also includes performing routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems, including troubleshooting and diagnosing issues, and upgrading existing electrical systems to meet current safety and efficiency standards. The position requires adherence to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment, identification of potential safety hazards and mitigation of risks, and interpretation of electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. The role also involves assisting other electricians, coordinating with other tradespeople, contractors, and project managers, and requires infrequent overnight travel. Additional duties and responsibilities may be added at any time, and employees are required to follow any other job-related instructions and perform any other job-related responsibilities as requested by their supervisor. Prairie Band, LLC is subject to Title 22: Employment Code of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation. In accordance with Title 22, this position is designated as a TIER 2 position. Preference will be given to individuals to the extent required pursuant to Section 22-2-4(B).
