About The Position

Loenbro is looking for Licensed Journeyman Electricians in the Great Falls, MT area. This is a project position for candidates who have a passion for safety, an initiative-taker, and who have experience in a heavy commercial and industrial environment. The Journeyman Electrician will work independently or as part of a team which will be responsible for the installation, start-up, troubleshooting, commissioning, and servicing of industrial equipment and systems. The project is for the United States Army Corps of Engineers and will require a background check to gain site access. Davis-Bacon wages will be paid.

Requirements

  • Licensed Journeyman Electrician with 5+ years of industrial experience.
  • Successful apprenticeship is required.
  • Seeking MT state electrical licensing in good standing or reciprocal journeyman licensing from AR, AZ, CO, MN, ND, NE, NH, NM, OK, SD, TX, UT, WY, and ID.
  • TWIC Card and/or Real ID’s are required.
  • Must be 18+ and able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background checks.
  • If driving is required, valid driver license and proof of insurability are required. All drivers are subject to a DMV background records search.
  • This role requires compliance with all applicable safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and Loenbro's Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with data center systems, transfer schemes, switchgear, controllers, and pneumatic/electrical process controls.
  • Proficient reading blueprints, one‑line diagrams, risers, and electrical schematics.
  • Skilled with conduit bending tools, cable tray layout, device trim, and load‑bank operations.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills; able to work independently as required.

Responsibilities

  • Interprets drawings, sketches, software, plans and determines best work procedures, tools, and equipment needed to troubleshoot and repair problems.
  • Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles and installs electrical conduit; weld support; install cable and duct banks; make terminations.
  • Test and start up systems and continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components.
  • Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
  • May be required to pull wire through conduit; connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment.
  • Work with high and low voltage systems.
