Electrical Integration and Test Engineer

The Charles Stark Draper Laboratory•Cambridge, MA

About The Position

Draper is an independent, nonprofit research and development company headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts, with more than 2,000 employees. Its multidisciplinary teams develop solutions to national challenges in areas including military defense, space exploration, and biomedical engineering. The System Integration and Test (I&T) Engineer serves as a system integrator for technologies and product lines developed using Draper's core capabilities. The role plans, executes, and manages integration and test activities from early test concept development through system certification. Activities include functional simulation; subsystem and system integration and test; verification and validation; performance evaluation; and acceptance testing. The engineer works with multidisciplinary engineering teams to establish clear, verifiable, and traceable requirements and to shape testable system concepts, architectures, and designs. The role also applies resident expertise and lessons learned to help develop reliable, robust, complex systems. The position requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or applied physics field and 5–7 years of systems engineering or relevant experience. Preference is given to candidates with electrical engineering, hardware-in-the-loop, avionics, optical test, or inertial sensor test experience. Applicants selected for the role must obtain and maintain a government security clearance; a current Secret clearance is preferred. The position is located in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The US base salary range is $82,300–$220,000, with individual pay determined by factors including work location, skills, experience, and education or training.
