Draper•Cambridge, MA
•$82,300 - $220,000

About The Position

Draper is an independent, nonprofit research and development company headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts, with more than 2,000 employees working on national challenges across areas including military defense, space exploration, and biomedical engineering. Its multidisciplinary engineering and science teams work collaboratively to develop usable solutions. The System Integration and Test (I&T) Engineer (SMTS) serves as a system integrator for technologies and product lines developed using Draper’s core capabilities. The role plans, executes, and manages I&T activities from early test concept development through system certification. Activities include functional simulation; subsystem and system integration and test; verification and validation; performance evaluation; and acceptance testing. The engineer works with multidisciplinary engineering teams to establish clear, verifiable, and traceable requirements and to inform system concepts, architectures, and designs that promote testability. The role also applies resident expertise and lessons learned to support the development of highly reliable, robust, and complex systems. The position is based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Applicants selected for the position must obtain and maintain a government security clearance; a current Secret clearance is preferred. Draper offers programs intended to support work-life balance, including workplace flexibility, employee clubs, health and finance workshops, off-site social events, and discounts to local museums and cultural activities.
