Requirements

  • Degree/Certification in Electrical/Electronics Technology OR a valid Industrial Electrician License OR significant relevant work experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance.
  • Documented experience with PLC troubleshooting, AC/DC drives, relay logic, and pump/motor controls.
  • Proficiency in using a multimeter and test equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and logic diagrams.
  • Basic knowledge of computer skills, specifically Windows-based applications.
  • Familiarity with pneumatic, hydraulic, and chemical systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks such as bending, crouching, and climbing stairs.
  • Ability to work safely in PPE, including respirators, as needed

Responsibilities

  • Test faulty equipment using specialized test equipment or software to determine malfunctions, applying knowledge of electronic units and systems.
  • Maintain detailed equipment logs recording performance issues, repairs, calibrations, and tests for accurate maintenance history.
  • Set up and test industrial equipment to ensure proper functionality and inspect components for accurate assembly or any potential defects, such as loose connections or frayed wires.
  • Install repaired equipment in various settings and operate equipment to demonstrate proper use and diagnose malfunctions.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, including checking, cleaning, and repairing equipment, to detect and prevent potential issues.
  • Calibrate testing instruments and equipment to specified standards, and repair or adjust equipment components, replacing parts like gaskets or seals when necessary.
  • Enter information into computers to copy programs, modify, or store schematics, using knowledge of relevant software.
  • Work with customers, supervisors, or engineers to plan equipment layout or troubleshoot system operation and maintenance issues.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repair on electrical and mechanical equipment, ensuring equipment safety and functionality.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and instrumentation devices, including motors, transformers, and control panels.
  • Follow safety standards, including lockout/tagout and confined space procedures.
  • Conduct routine inspections for mechanical integrity, such as insulation breakdowns and wear.
  • Work independently or within a team environment to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
  • Support inventory management by maintaining spare parts levels.
