About The Position

The Coeur Silvertip mine located in British Columbia, just 10 miles south of the Yukon border is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor to work in a camp-based environment rotating on a two week in/two week out shift rotation.

Requirements

Valid Red Seal or interprovincial Journeyman Certificate as an Electrician/Instrumentation;
10 years’ experience in the repair and troubleshooting of diverse electrical related equipment;
5 years’ Supervisory experience;
Experience using a CMMS system;
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, and Outlook;
Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Assists with electrical system installations, troubleshooting and repair as needed. Able to design electrical systems and circuits, as well as contributing to improved designs and processes;
Develops daily work plans including applicable permits and ensures communication of assigned work with personnel;
Ensures parts, equipment, materials, tools, procedures, technical documentation and drawings, are coordinated and managed;
Ensures effective use of the work order system;
Assists in the preparation of department operating and capital budgets, forecasts, monthly cost analysis and reporting;
Promotes continuous improvement in methods/performance, employee safety and equipment;
Plan and schedule activities to maximize availability and reduce downtime;
Assists in the development of the Maintenance Management System;
Maintains records of electrical operations and operations;
Active role in hiring and evaluating employees;
Ensures a well-functioning Preventative Maintenance program of the electrical and control systems that drives improving reliability based on the criticality of the equipment;
Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules;
Assist with annual and quarterly budget review;
Heavy lifting, large cable pulls, 5kv testing and installations.;
Review & manage warehouse stock levels;
Underground mine experience;
Ability to prioritize site needs and act, accordingly, including callouts.
