About The Position

The Electrical Instructor is responsible for delivering electrical training programs, supporting employee development, and ensuring students receive effective instruction related to electrical systems, safety practices, and industry standards. This role works closely with leadership, employees, and training staff to support educational goals, operational needs, and workforce development initiatives. This role provides hands-on instruction and training in electrical, plumbing, and/or HVAC systems.

• English speaking, reading, and writing preferred, and required where necessary to perform job duties.
• Spanish speaking preferred.
• Maintain professionalism and a positive, respectful demeanor with customers, coworkers, and business partners.
• Hands-on knowledge and experience in electrical, plumbing, and/or HVAC systems and installations.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous electrical, construction, or trade experience preferred.
• Previous teaching, training, or instructional experience preferred.
• Experience within construction, operations, or workforce development environments preferred.
• Relevant industry certifications or licenses preferred, and required where necessary to perform job duties.
• Communicate in person, by phone, and through email.
• Travel as required to support project and operational needs.
• Stand, walk, climb ladders and stairs, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach, and lift throughout the workday.
• Sit for extended periods while driving to and between job sites.
• Work on active job sites, indoors and outdoors, including attics, crawlspaces, and confined or elevated spaces, with exposure to varying weather, construction noise, dust, and other job site conditions.
• Wear safety gear such as Personal Protective Equipment.
• Maintain dependable transportation and consistent, reliable attendance to meet customer service and operational needs.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and make independent decisions within established company policies and procedures.
• Ability to work overtime, modified schedules, or occasional weekends as business needs require.
• Perform all work on-site and in person; this is not a remote or hybrid position.
• Lift, carry, push, and pull at least 50 pounds.
• This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or work authorization support. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without current or future need for employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Conduct electrical training classes and educational programs for employees and students.
• Prepare and deliver instructional materials, presentations, and hands-on training activities.
• Teach electrical concepts, safety procedures, company standards, and industry best practices.
• Monitor student progress and provide guidance, coaching, and feedback as needed.
• Maintain accurate training records, attendance documentation, and educational materials.
• Assist with developing and updating training programs, lesson plans, and instructional content.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, educational standards, and safety regulations.
• Support onboarding, continuing education, and workforce development initiatives.
• Collaborate with leadership and operational teams regarding training needs and program improvements.
• Maintain classroom organization, training equipment, and learning materials.
• Maintain professionalism and effective communication throughout all educational interactions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
