About The Position
Frank Gay Services is seeking a skilled Electrical Install Technician to perform residential electrical installations, wiring, upgrades, inspections, troubleshooting, and diagnostics. The technician helps customers understand electrical issues and their systems, and guides them toward informed buying decisions. The company offers tools, training, management support, and advancement opportunities, including preparation for employees seeking a Journeyman’s license.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of residential electrical installation experience.
- Experience with panel installation, meter pan installation, troubleshooting, outdoor electrical service, and riser installation.
- Experience managing a fleet vehicle and product inventory.
- Knowledge of electrical codes and safety procedures.
- Must pass a motor vehicle check, background check, and drug screen.
- Strong customer service skills; honest, dependable, and reliable.
- Physical dexterity.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose residential electrical systems, and guide customers toward informed buying decisions.
- Identify and communicate electrical issues to customers.
- Educate customers about their electrical systems, functions, and needs.
- Maintain a fully stocked truck inventory for each job.
- Document work performed according to company procedures.
- Maintain professional conduct and appearance in all working conditions.
- Set up electrical service or installation calls when needed.
