About The Position

An Electrical Installation Journeyman for Toyota Automated Logistics is a hands-on position focusing on the installations of large- and small-scale conveyors, robotic, automation and commercial electrical systems. In this position you would be expected to understand industry practices, possess proven electrical skill competencies, and accomplish tasks assigned to you by the Electrical Installation Lead/Supervisor. Tasks may include mentoring and leading Electrical Installation Technicians to complete small projects assigned to you with close supervision. This position requires continuous travel to client sites for the installation of material handling systems.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge and practice of safety measures on jobsite.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must possess hand tools.
  • Previous commercial electrical experience
  • HS diploma
  • 3-5 years of previous industrial electrical experience
  • Must be eligible to work in the USA long term without sponsorship.
  • Employees must follow all information security policies, protect confidential data, complete required training, and report any suspected security incidents to support our information security controls.

Responsibilities

  • Knowledgeable in National Electric Code (NEC).
  • Proficient in installation methods (terminology, conduit bending, wire pulling, terminating, and troubleshooting).
  • Perform or assist in electrical installation work with little supervision.
  • Able to lead a small crew, project, or task.
  • Safely complete the tasks assigned to you by the Electrical Lead or Supervisor in a timely manner and up to quality standards.
  • Escalate higher-level electrical concerns to a supervisor.
  • Up to 95% travel. Minimum 2 weeks at a time.
  • Proficient in handling basic issues and troubleshooting a system.
  • Working knowledge of proper hardware usage.
  • Strong understanding of troubleshooting methods and techniques and assists more junior technicians with issues.
  • Assist more senior personnel in electrical installations, connections, and terminations under little supervision.
  • Perform other project related duties and assignments as instructed by a supervisor or more senior electrician.
  • Escalate higher-level electrical concerns to a supervisor.
