About The Position

SPATCO Energy Solutions is an energy solutions provider serving fueling and charging customers in retail, commercial, industrial, and government sectors. The Electrical Helper works on a variety of construction jobs as part of a team and may be required to travel out of town. The role assists with electrical equipment and systems used in the petroleum industry, including installation, maintenance, testing, and verification of safe operation and code compliance. The employee may attend SPATCO’s in-house training program to develop their understanding of the construction and electrical industries.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 2 to 3 years working as an apprentice with an electrical company; a journeyman card is not needed.
Knowledge of electrician standards and codes.
Detail oriented.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to lift 75–100 lbs when necessary to perform job duties.
Ability to work outside in all types of weather.
Ability to work efficiently under time constraints and work well with others.

Responsibilities

Assist in assembling, installing, maintaining, and testing electrical equipment and fixtures used in the petroleum industry.
Install conduits, pull wire, and make final connections to circuit breakers, petroleum pumps, dispensers, Point of Sale consoles, tank monitors, and petroleum lighting.
Inspect electrical systems and components for compliance with safety requirements, codes, project specifications, and manufacturer requirements, and verify proper system operation.
Advise management, customers, and employees when hazards are present and when electrical systems are safe to operate.
Assist the estimator with material take-offs, material costs, and labor allowances.
Follow all company procedures.
