About The Position

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Hardware Test Engineer to work on its HPE Cray line of supercomputing hardware. The engineer will work independently and with other HPE engineers to develop and execute test plans validating component-, board-, and system-level electrical hardware. Testing focuses on validating new designs, regression-testing design modifications, and assisting with root-cause analysis and resolution of complex hardware and software problems. The position is designated onsite, with the expectation that the employee will primarily work from an HPE office. The role involves bringing up new systems, improving qualification processes, supporting engineering, manufacturing, and field service teams, and maintaining lab equipment and resources. The engineer will also coordinate work across multiple projects, document and archive test information and hardware status, and track bugs and issues. The position typically requires 4–6 years of test engineering experience and a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The listed U.S. base salary range is USD 95,800–220,500 annually in Texas and Wisconsin; actual offers may vary by location, experience, education, training, and skill level. Variable incentives may also be offered. HPE describes benefits supporting physical, financial, and emotional wellbeing, as well as programs for personal and professional development.
