About The Position

This position supports the design, and testing activities of the Power Pack Architecture and Core team.

Requirements

  • Candidate must be attending a 2-year college or 4-year university local to Saginaw
  • Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor’s in Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • Candidate must be able to work 20-32 hours during Fall and Winter semesters
  • Up to 40 in the summer
  • Must have cumulative 2.7 GPA on 4.0 scale
  • Must be a full-time student (12 or more credits) during Fall and Winter semesters
  • Candidate must have an interest in Electronics and Circuit design.
  • Candidate must have growing knowledge and application of Electrical Engineering principles
  • Candidate must have strong mathematical and analytic ability
  • Candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Products (Office 365, Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Candidate must have excellent Communication, Documentation Skills and attention to detail
  • Candidate must have an understanding of typical electrical bench equipment (Oscilloscopes, Function Generators, Multimeters, Soldering Equipment etc)
  • Candidate must have right to work in the US and not require current or future sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Acquire, build, and test prototype parts including electric motors, sensors, controllers, circuit boards and wire harnesses
  • Perform electrical tests involving any combination of electric motors, sensor, controllers, etc.
  • Operate lab equipment including power supplies, oscilloscopes, and multimeters
  • Circuit schematic capture and updates
  • Assisting engineers with project duties
  • Develop electrical design skills that aid in circuit/schematic analysis
