About The Position

Avail Staffing is hiring Electrical Generator Assembly Technicians to build and wire large-scale generator systems used to provide reliable backup power for critical data centers and other mission-critical facilities. This is a hands-on opportunity for electricians and electrical technicians with experience in industrial electrical systems, generator assembly, wiring, controls, and equipment installation. The Electrical Generator Assembly Technician will assemble, wire, install, test, and troubleshoot electrical components used in large industrial generator systems. The ideal candidate is comfortable reading electrical drawings, working with hand and power tools, and performing detailed electrical assembly in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as an Electrician, Electrical Technician, Generator Technician, Electrical Assembler, or Industrial Electrician.
  • Experience with industrial electrical systems preferred.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems and electrical controls.
  • Experience with wire termination, crimping, routing, and cable installation.
  • Familiarity with electrical testing equipment such as multimeters and megohmmeters is a plus.
  • Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and wire electrical generator systems and components.
  • Install electrical panels, controls, switches, breakers, sensors, conduit, wiring, and cable assemblies.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and work instructions.
  • Route, terminate, label, and secure electrical wiring and cables.
  • Install and connect control panels, junction boxes, battery systems, and related electrical components.
  • Perform continuity checks, electrical testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, electrical test equipment, and measuring instruments.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure proper connections, workmanship, and quality.
  • Troubleshoot wiring, electrical components, and control systems.
  • Follow established assembly procedures, electrical specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow OSHA, company, and facility safety procedures.
  • Work closely with electricians, mechanical technicians, engineers, and production personnel.
  • Meet production schedules while maintaining high standards for safety and quality.
