About The Position

An Electrical General Foreman plans, organizes, and manages the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. The role ensures work is completed on time and within budget while meeting safety standards. The foreman works closely with electrical superintendents, project managers, and other departments, and develops relationships with subcontractors and other partners.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous construction experience.
• Must successfully complete a background check and drug/alcohol testing.
• Must have personal hand tools.
• May be required to take specialty training.

Nice To Haves

• OSHA 30 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create wiring diagrams, conduit systems, and electrical panel locations.
• Manage the day-to-day work of electricians, apprentices, and journeymen.
• Teach electricians safety protocols and job skills.
• Diagnose electrical issues and perform repairs.
• Ensure safety equipment, materials, and tools are available and used properly.
• Monitor electricians’ work to ensure it meets standards.
• Coordinate schedules with subcontractors and other departments.
• Provide cost estimates and projections for electrical projects.
• Ensure work meets codes and contract documents.
