About The Position

We’re looking for a hands-on Electrical Foreman who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment and takes pride in leading high-performing crews. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of our projects—driving execution, coordinating with trades, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard. You’ll lead a team of skilled journeymen and apprentices, oversee day-to-day site operations, and play a key role in keeping projects on track—from planning and installation through to testing and turnover. Requirements

  • Licensed Journeyman Electrician with valid First Aid, AWP, and Fall Protection
  • Class 5 driver’s license with clean abstract
  • 4–5+ years as a Lead Hand or Foreperson in commercial/residential construction
  • Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC)
  • Proficient in conduit installation, power distribution, fire alarms, and underground work
  • Strong troubleshooting, installation, and blueprint reading abilities
  • Proven leadership with experience managing crews and coordinating work
  • Solid understanding of scheduling, material take-offs, and site documentation
  • Detail-oriented, safety-focused, and able to perform in fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a crew of 10–15 electricians, coordinating daily work to meet project timelines
  • Plan, schedule, and monitor labour, productivity, and materials
  • Interpret drawings, blueprints, and electrical code to execute installations
  • Install, test, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems, including low-voltage and power distribution
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and quality standards
  • Lead safety meetings, enforce site safety, and conduct quality inspections
  • Coordinate with the site superintendent and other trades to maintain workflow and avoid delays
  • Track project progress, report updates, and manage documentation (timecards, daily reports, scope changes)
  • Support planning, including manpower forecasting and material take-offs
  • Train and mentor apprentices and crew members
  • Manage materials, inventory, tools, and site organization
  • Assist with commissioning, deficiencies, and project turnover
