About The Position

Patrick Riley, a NearU Services company, is seeking an experienced Electrical Field Manager to lead the day-to-day field operations of the electrical department. This role is crucial in building a high-performing electrical team known for quality craftsmanship, accountability, customer care, safety, and continuous growth. The ideal candidate will be a strong field leader who can earn the respect of technicians, solve problems, develop people, and achieve measurable results. This is a hands-on leadership position where field experience, technical expertise, and people development skills will be essential.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 5+ years of residential electrical experience
  • 2+ years of supervisory or management experience
  • Strong knowledge of residential electrical systems and the National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, develop, and motivate field teams
  • Proven ability to create, lead, and drive teams and projects
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to balance technical expertise with strong people leadership
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Technical/vocational training or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Basic knowledge of ServiceTitan preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, develop, and hold electricians accountable for performance, productivity, and results.
  • Build a culture of teamwork, professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular coaching and performance conversations to recognize success and address opportunities for improvement.
  • Support recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and development of electrical team members.
  • Help identify and develop future leaders and career advancement opportunities within the department.
  • Oversee the daily field operations of the electrical department.
  • Ensure technicians have the resources, training, tools, and support needed to perform at a high level.
  • Monitor schedules, productivity, job performance, and overall field execution.
  • Identify operational challenges and implement solutions that improve efficiency and customer experience.
  • Partner with other departments and company leaders to achieve business objectives.
  • Serve as a technical resource for electricians when they encounter complex residential electrical issues.
  • Promote consistent adherence to company standards and industry best practices.
  • Set the standard for quality workmanship and ensure work is completed safely, professionally, and correctly the first time.
  • Help technicians troubleshoot challenging situations and make sound field decisions.
  • Monitor key performance indicators including revenue, productivity, profitability, callbacks, customer satisfaction, and other department metrics.
  • Use performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas requiring corrective action.
  • Reinforce exceptional customer service and professionalism throughout the customer experience.
  • Help drive continuous improvement in quality, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure team members follow company safety policies and procedures.
  • Reinforce safe work practices and address safety concerns promptly.
  • Support compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and company standards.
