About The Position

In this role, you will provide project field engineering support with work planning and packaging, material management, quantity verification and validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and coordination of system turnover. Your work will contribute to ensuring field engineering activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements.

Requirements

Required a BS Degree with 1-2 years of experience or 5-6 years of relevant work experience
Experience with the NEC.
Experience with inspecting substations and electrical distribution equipment.
Experience inspecting cable tray and channel.
Understanding of electrical single lines, three lines, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Ability to acquire Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).

Nice To Haves

Pre-commissioning experience, including energization of equipment <480VAC and uncoupled motor runs, is preferred.

Responsibilities

Coordinates the preparation of construction drawings, sketches, projections and schedules for workforce, material, and equipment requirements.
Contributes in planning construction methods and procedures.
Initiates requisitions for field purchases.
Prepares quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment.
Verifies commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database systems as required.
Ensures zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.
Proactively considers continuous learning or show interest to pursue appropriate learning activities.
Supports construction engineers, discipline superintendents, foremen, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents.
Develops firm understanding of system and area scoping and drawings required for package development.
Builds system and area turnover packages both digitally and physically for turnover to startup and client.
