About The Position

Slifco Electric is an electrical contracting firm serving the Automotive, Heavy Industrial, and Mission Critical sectors. The company handles ground-up construction and major renovations, with electrical packages ranging from small service work to multi-million-dollar installations. The Electrical Estimator prepares accurate, competitive, and well-structured estimates and collaborates with leadership and project teams during preconstruction to help shape project strategy. The role also supports the handoff of awarded projects to operations teams.

Requirements

At least 2 years of electrical estimating experience or a strong electrical construction background.
Strong understanding of electrical systems and installation practices.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications confidently.
Experience with estimating software platforms.
Strong computer proficiency and technical aptitude.

Nice To Haves

Data Center project experience.
Accubid experience.
Journeyman Electrician License.

Responsibilities

Prepare accurate and competitive electrical estimates for commercial and industrial projects.
Review and analyze drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
Perform detailed material take-offs and labor analysis.
Evaluate vendor and subcontractor proposals and pricing.
Identify project risks, scope gaps, and value engineering opportunities.
Collaborate with Project Managers and leadership during preconstruction.
Maintain organized, clear, and defensible estimate documentation.
Support project handoff to operations teams after award.
