Electrical Estimator - Commercial Large
About The Position
Ace Electric is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator for its NC Division to play a key role in the pursuit and execution of complex electrical construction projects. These projects include Industrial & Manufacturing Facilities, Distribution Centers, and Large Commercial Projects. The Estimator will work closely with operations, preconstruction, project management, vendors, subcontractors, and executive leadership to develop accurate, competitive, and strategic estimates that drive project success. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Post-secondary education or industry certifications preferred
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Nice To Haves
- 4+ years of electrical estimating experience
- Experience in Industrial Construction
- Experience in Large Commercial Construction
- Experience in Design-Build Projects
- Experience in Fast-Track Construction Environments
- Accubid or similar estimating software
- Bluebeam
- Microsoft Excel
- Blueprint and specification interpretation
- Strong understanding of NEC and electrical systems
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- High attention to detail and organization
- Strategic and analytical thinking
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated with a solutions-oriented mindset
Responsibilities
- Review electrical drawings, specifications, and project documents
- Perform detailed takeoffs and prepare accurate cost estimates
- Develop budgets, proposals, bid packages, and scope reviews
- Analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, engineers, and operations teams
- Participate in preconstruction planning and value engineering efforts
- Assist with project turnover and support awarded projects
- Identify risks, opportunities, and cost-saving strategies
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and industry partners
- Support continuous improvement of estimating processes and systems
