About The Position

As an Electrical Estimator, you’ll play a key role in delivering accurate, competitive bids that support our projects from concept to completion. This is a full-time position located in Nebraska. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without current or future need for employer sponsorship. IES Commercial Inc dba IES Electrical is looking for a candidate with recent experience or education in electrical field work, estimating, or engineering. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of blueprints, specifications, applicable codes, and regulations, along with strong computer skills, including the ability to work efficiently with estimating software. Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential. A High School Diploma/GED and a valid driver’s license are required. Candidates must also successfully pass a pre-employment drug test, background check, and MVR check (if applicable).

Requirements

Recent experience or education in electrical field work, estimating, or engineering
Working knowledge of blueprints, specifications, applicable codes, and regulations
Strong computer skills, including the ability to work efficiently with estimating software
Effective verbal and written communication skills
High School Diploma/GED
Valid driver’s license
Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without current or future need for employer sponsorship
Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) drug test, background check and MVR check (if applicable)

Responsibilities

Estimating commercial and industrial projects (plan/spec, design-build, and design-assist)
Applying best practices and established estimating procedures
Coordinating project scopes with local and national codes
Working closely with material suppliers and subcontractors
Managing requests for information (RFIs) throughout the bidding process
Reviewing and qualifying quotes for specialized materials and subcontractor work
Preparing proposal letters, bid forms and turnover packages on awarded projects
Interacting with customers and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle
Comply with all company and customer safety policies and procedures
Travel as required
