About The Position

Hunt Electric, LLC is seeking a full-time Electrical Estimator for its electrical division. The role assists with electrical estimating and bidding and works closely with estimating leadership to develop accurate, competitive electrical construction estimates. The position includes a structured training program designed to build the skills needed to independently estimate commercial electrical projects.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Licensed electrician or electrical background required.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, including floor plans, one-line diagrams, panel schedules, and fixture schedules.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working with Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
• Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Bluebeam Revu, Trimble Accubid, or other estimating/takeoff software.
• Experience with a range of project types.

Responsibilities

• Estimate small and mid-size projects from start to finish, with review by the estimating lead.
• Review drawings and specifications to define the electrical scope of work.
• Identify conflicts, gaps, and unclear items, and draft RFIs for the estimating lead to review.
• Enter takeoffs into Accubid, apply labor units and material pricing, and track bids and outcomes in Unanet CRM.
• Request and compare quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Help prepare bid forms, scope letters, qualifications, and exclusions.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and job walks.
• Communicate with general contractors and owners about scope and bid questions.
• Support handoff of awarded jobs to project management.
• Complete assigned training, courses, and certifications on schedule.
• Maintain regular attendance and comply with scheduled work hours.
• Contribute to a positive team environment and demonstrate a positive, goal-oriented approach to learning and growth.
• Perform other duties or work at other locations as assigned by the Manager.
