About The Position

Slifco Electric is a premier electrical contracting firm serving the Automotive, Heavy Industrial, and Mission Critical sectors. We specialize in both ground-up construction and major renovations, managing electrical packages ranging from small service work to multi-million-dollar installations. As an Electrical Estimator, you’ll play a critical role in helping Slifco Electric secure successful projects by delivering accurate, competitive, and well-structured estimates. This role is perfect for someone who is detail-driven, analytical, and self-motivated — someone who can take direction, think independently, and confidently own their work from start to finish. You’ll collaborate closely with leadership and project teams during preconstruction while helping shape project strategy before the first wire is ever pulled.

Requirements

3+ years of electrical estimating experience or strong electrical construction background.
Strong understanding of electrical systems and installation practices.
Ability to confidently read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Experience with estimating software platforms.
Strong computer proficiency and technical aptitude.

Journeyman Electrician License

Responsibilities

Prepare accurate and competitive electrical estimates for commercial and industrial projects.
Review and analyze drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
Perform detailed material take-offs and labor analysis.
Evaluate vendor and subcontractor proposals and pricing.
Identify project risks, scope gaps, and value engineering opportunities.
Collaborate with Project Managers and leadership during preconstruction.
Maintain organized, clear, and defensible estimate documentation.
Support project handoff to operations teams after award.
