About The Position

The Electrical Estimator develops cost estimates for routine small construction projects under direct supervision, based on client documents. The role also includes preparing project documentation and plans, visiting job sites to assess progress and troubleshoot issues, and coordinating with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to estimate costs.

Requirements

• High school education minimum.
• Two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination.
• Must be able to pass a background screen.
• Intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Proficiency in take-off estimator planning.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask while staying organized.
• Self-motivated.
• Positive customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

• A degree in a related field is preferred.
• Experience working in ACCUBID is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Examine proposals, blueprints, and specifications to determine the type and duration of work required for a project.
• Prepare material orders and other documentation.
• Visit job sites to assess progress, maintain logs, troubleshoot problems, and evaluate work.
• Create project plans based on estimates, defining tasks, schedules, and required personnel.
• Confer and negotiate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers, using local expertise to estimate costs.
• Perform other duties assigned by the manager.
